Most people were running towards the castle, but I really liked the isolated feeling of the towers and wondered what it must have been like perched up there during the golden days of Japan.

(No Ratings Yet)I see and photograph a lot of various lanterns in Japan, but interestingly enough I don’t see a lot of black kanji on white ones in my area. I added a paper texture to the photo and did some slight dodging and burning to create a different look.

(1 votes, average: 5 out of 5)Spent the day shooting at slower shutter speeds and came up with some interesting shots. This photograph was taken at 1/30 of a second and managed to still capture the image, but with an added interest of shutter streaks. I thought this looked pretty cool.

(No Ratings Yet)I saw this row of Budhas at a cemetary adjacent to Zenkoji Temple. They are abundant in Japan and often interesting to photograph. Here I was experimenting with different angles and chose a Sepia tone for the final processing.
